synthesis of singing
Singing distinguishes itself from speech by a far better use of the vocal and articulatory possibilities. In singing, special physiological and acoustic phenomona can be observed. A number of these will be demonstrated, related to timbre in singing, realisation of emotions in singing, singing at super high pitches, and overtone or 'throat' singing. Demonstrations of synthesised singing are also available. For more demonstrations on vibrato and other voice properties see the topic on voice production (stemproductie) in the root group.
